Marko was born and raised in Chino/Chino Hills, CA. It was not until after joining P.S.S.T., the Pilipino Club at Troy High School, that he began to dance. Through the influence of Deyo Forteza, Marko began dancing more seriously during the summer before his junior year of high school. Under the direction of Matt Gutierrez and Karen Mondok, Marko was blessed with the opportunity to dance under the newly formed Underground Dance team in Spring 2007. In Spring 2008, Marko auditioned for their collegiate team, Common Ground, which he danced with until the Fall of that year.
After a short hiatus from competitive dancing, Marko decided to audition for Kaba Modern in 2009, in hopes of becoming part of a family that originally inspired him to dance. A fresh new member to the current KM team, Marko aspires to mature as a dancer and as a person. Marko is currently entering his second year at the University of California, Irvine as a History Major with a Minor in Education.
