Katie was born one early morning in the sunny city of Roswell, Georgia. From a young age, Katie had been an active child. At the age of 4, she moved to Poway, California where she was first inducted into the hobby of gymnastics. Her experience with gymnastics sparked her interest for dance and, at the age of 7, started training in ballet at Studio West Dance Company. Her love and passion for dance blossomed as she continued to train in ballet, jazz, lyrical, and, later on, hip hop. She was a three-year member of Poway High School’s Jazz Team and a two-year member of their Hip Hop Team, and contributed to their celebrated success in various competitions.
After being accepted into the University of California, Irvine in the Fall of 2008, Katie auditioned and became one of six new members to the current KM team. Katie hopes to gain all the experience and knowledge that the entire KM family has to offer.
