Karen Song has been dancing since the age of 7. Although she started in ballet, she dove into jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop by age 14. She began training in hip hop with Kaba Modern’s junior team, Kaba Kids (now Kreative Movement) from 2005-2008. In 2008, Karen joined Kaba Modern and is now a 2nd year returning member to the current team. Under KM, Karen has trained in all elements of hip hop including locking, waacking, punking, popping, tutting, breaking, and commercial. She has competed in numerous competitions and shows all throughout California. Karen is also trained in cheer and song, for which she has competed both locally and nationally.
Karen is currently honing her acting skills under world renown acting coach Bobby Chance at Expression Unlimited. Her love for the arts has led her to star in musicals like High School Musical and Paris by Night. Other credits include Skechers, Disney’s “Jump In” music video, Pryslezz ft. Jason Duerlo-Sideways, and much more. Karen is currently represented by Bloc Talent Agency and is an intern at Boogiezone as a staff member. Karen is also an instructor at San Clemente Dance Studio and Xtreme All Stars. Her teaching style consists of a unique blend of her acting and dancing, along with her motto of “bleeding on stage.” Karen’s choreography reflects her rawness as both an individual and performer.
